April 24th, from Giza (30.00°N, 31.2°E) , Egypt, the Hilal of Ramadan was SEEN briefly at 19:04. I began my first attempt at apparent sunset, to no avail, and ten minutes thereafter, just after Maghrib prayers, again to no avail, due to thick clouds covering the western horizon. However, I noticed an opening between the clouds, at ~8° so I thought I'd try again when the Moon was at that altitude. I tried again at 17:03 and shortly afterwards, it showed up. But was obscured by the rest of the clouds about a minute or two later. Source: Moonsighting
